Returned to DAYS plus QVC Clothing Line
Hi everyone – I know its been awhile, but I’m back!
A lot of you are asking me to write a Blog about my coming back to “Days of our Lives” and my new clothing line for QVC so here we go:
I am thrilled to be back playing Billie Holiday Reed on DAYS! I played the role from 1992-1995 then again in 2002 for just 6 months and now again in 2012. So every 10 years I have played her. Kind of a fun fact. So in my 20′s my 30′s and now in my 40′s.
You may ask why I decided to play Billie again at this stage in my life and career? Well I wanted to act again. That is my true love and passion and that is what I studied for years to do. Over the past 8 years I have been so blessed to have done a talk show “Soaptalk” for 4 years, a show called “Merge” on Lifetime, a little show called “Dancing with the Stars”, the Red Carpet coverage…lots and lots of hosting. Also, the Musical “Chicago” on broadway, a reality show “Harry Loves Lisa” – sounds like I am reciting my resume. Well I kinda am! But what I’m trying to say is I MISSED being an actress and I wanted to be again.
I ran into Patrick Muldoon who plays Austin, my brother, on DAYS and he told me he had gone back and how fun it was and how great the new schedule was (perfect for being a Mom – family always comes first with me). I kept running into Patrick around town and he kept calling me planting that seed to come back to Days. So I thought about it, had a lunch with the producers and writers, and the next thing I know is “Wham, I’m back”. And let me tell you how thrilled I am and how much fun I am having – tons of fun! I Love it! I love seeing all of the Cast and crew that I worked with back in the 90′s (yes a lot of them are back looking exactly the same I might add)! I am just loving acting again. I love the process and when things just “feel right” and you feel like you are exactly where you are suppose to be. Well that is how I feel! Thank you God!
Now Let’s talk about my passion for clothes and fashion. Let’s talk about why I did a line for QVC.
Well it was always a dream of mine, ever since we opened our boutique Belle Gray 9 years ago, to dress women of all ages and all SIZES! In the boutique business the clothes I loved to wear and the ones I bought for Belle Gray only went up to a size 12 and I always wanted to be able to dress all women of all sizes because I feel everyone, no matter what size you are, should be able to look and feel beautiful! So for 9 years I created a cozy california chic look at Belle Gray, yet I was never satisfied. That’s when QVC came along, liked my vision, and wanted me to create a line for them. I was beyond thrilled. It took a whole year, but we did it and everything is sized XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 1X, 2X, 3X. I could not be more thrilled that I can dress everyone and that has always been my goal to help women look good, feel good, and be empowered!!!!
If you go to www.qvc.com and go to “Belle Gray by Lisa Rinna” you can see the very beginning of my line. Its only just begun. Its cozy, its chic, its soft, its fun, and yummy, and comfy, and versatile. Everything can be worn lots of different ways – casual, dressed up with accessories. You can turn one look into 5. I like that.
I like being able to have cute pieces in my wardrobe that I know I can grab at the last minute and I will look and feel fab! A dress that I can wear flip flops with or put on strappy heels and some jewlery and hit the Red Carpet – I have made that for you! A t-shirt that has special details so its a chic t shirt that you can dress up or down. A faux suede jacket in taupe and black that goes with everything and is washable! Genius! Wear it with jeans or over a Maxi dress. I live in all of these clothes and I’ve now made them for you at an affordable prices. All under 100 bucks. That is so exciting to me. At the boutique, prices could go upward of $800. We can’t do that in this economy and why should we? Clothes should be fun and cozy and not break the bank!
So that is all for now. I hope you will go to www.qvc.com and check out my new line and I hope you will tune in daily to “Days of our Lives” – 1pm on NBC.
Love
Lisa
